Mick Taylor/Carla Olson TOO HOT FOR SNAKES Roxy 1990 | 10 - official release 1 CD | | | Who Put The Sting On The Honeybee? Slow Rollin' Train Trying To Hold On Rubies And Diamonds See The Light You Can't Move In Broken Hands Sway Hartley Quits Midnight Mission Silver Train | | | | | "By 1990, Mick had moved from New York City to Los Angeles, and began working with a number of musicians located there. Carla, who had made a name for herself with the Textones, was now on her own, and she had struck up an acquaintance with Mick, fueled by her longstanding admiration for Mick's playing since his days with Mayall's Bluesbreakers -- and initiated by her miming Mick's guitar part in the filming of Bob Dylan's "Sweetheart Like You" video from his Infidels album (which Mick and Mark Knopfler played on extensively).
"Carla convinced Mick to do some live shows together, and to make a record of their performance at the legendary Roxy. She also amazingly had the ability to convince Mick to reclaim some of his own great legacy. Check out the set list below. The shows mixed Carla's and Mick's best, including some eclectic choices for each. Mick plays on every track." - www.micktaylor.com |

Mick Taylor LIVE IN GENEVA Arthur's Club, Geneva Switzerland 04/04/95 | 9.5 - TV 1 CDR - from MP3 | | | 01 You Gotta Move 02 I Wonder Why 03 You Shook Me 04 Judgment Day (?) 05 Goin South 06 Can't You Hear Me Knocking | | | | | | Turned up on the newsgroups with homemade art that was wrong in almost every detail. I'm guessing that it's the French TV broadcast of a Geneva show on 04/04/95, with Snowy White - but I'm not sure. It's very good, though. |
