If you’re using Windows Live OneCare, it was recently updated to include protection against spyware as well as viruses. Here’s info from the Windows Live OneCare team about the update.

If you open Windows Live OneCare and click on View Settings, you should see a new “Antispyware” tab, showing that Microsoft’s antispyware program Windows Defender has been installed.

The Windows OneCare icon becomes your single point of contact for everything related to the health of your system – viruses, spyware, and security updates. The icon should be green. If it’s not, pay attention!

If you’re a home user, or a small business user without a server, you should be considering the switch to Windows Live OneCare. Here’s my instructions for the switch, and some background information about why it’s a good idea.
